Diane Overman is an independent educational consultant in the Clear Lake area of Houston, Texas serving
college-bound students and their parents. Her primary focus is working with high school students while guiding them
through their college search and admissions journey. She has worked with students from many area schools including those
within the Clear Creek Independent School District, Lutheran South Academy and Bellaire High School, to name a few. She works
with out of area and out of state students using Skype and other electronic methods of communication.
a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Finance from the University
of Houston-Clear Lake and a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. She is a member of the National Association for College
Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC), the Southern Association for
College Admission Counseling (SACAC), the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and is a Professional Member of
the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). She is also a graduate of the Independent Educational Consultants
Association's Summer Business Institute.
In 2011, Diane successfully completed training
to become a Certified Strong Interest Inventory professional and now offers the Strong as one of her services. Recently
added to her service options is a new cutting-edge abilty based assessment, the College Success Profile.
Each year, Diane makes many college visits to learn more about each college including their admissions criteria,
unique programs, majors, scholarships, athletics, housing, etc. She also attends at least two professional conferences each
year to update her knowledge on current college admissions trends and to network with other college admissions professionals.
